Student account#

SCITAS provides high performances computational resources to support students in their academic activities.

Access to academic clusters for master's students#

Master’s students can only access our two academic clusters, Helvetios and Izar. Bachelor’s students can only use these clusters if a teacher specifically requests resources for a course.

Resource allocations for master’s students#

  • Master’s Theses: Eligible for computational resources equivalent to 4,000 CHF.
  • Master’s Projects: Eligible for computational resources equivalent to 1,000 CHF.

These resource allocations are only for clusters designated for academic purposes, Helvetios and Izar.

Note

These amounts represent a measure of equivalence and do not correspond to cash funds. It can only be used for computational resources. It is not possible to use it for storage resources, to convert, transfer, or use these amounts to pay for other services offered by SCITAS or EPFL.

To request a student account, please fill in the student account creation form and indicate the student's supervisor for validation.
