SCITAS provides high performances computational resources to support students in their academic activities.

Master's students

Academic clusters, Helvetios and Izar, are exclusively accessible to Master’s students. Bachelor’s students may use these clusters only if a teacher explicitly requests resources for use as part of a course.

For Master’s students, resource allocations are granted based on the type of academic project. Master’s theses are eligible for computational resources equivalent to 4,000 CHF, while Master’s projects are allocated resources equivalent to 1,000 CHF. The allocations apply exclusively to clusters designated for academic purposes.

Note

These amounts represent a measure of equivalence and do not correspond to cash funds. It is not possible to convert, transfer, or use these amounts to pay for other services offered by SCITAS.

To request a student account, please fill in the student account creation form and indicate the student's supervisor for validation.
