Account Summary#

The Account Summary page gives account administrators a consolidated view of their HPC and AI resource usage. You can monitor team-wide compute and storage consumption, review each member's usage, and manage compute spending limits (capping).

Navigate there via Usages → Account summary in the left sidebar. This page is only visible to account admins.

Selecting an Account#

If you manage more than one account, use the account selector in the top navbar to switch between them. The page reloads with data for the selected account.

Selecting a Date Range#

Click the Select date range field at the top right to choose the period you want to review. Preset shortcuts (This Month, Last Month, Last 3 Months, etc.) are available for convenience. The date range are shared between the 3 tabs.

Tabs#

Totals#

Provides a summary of the account's usage for the selected period.

Form information only

The figures shown on the account summary page are for information only. They are not intended for billing purposes and may differ from official invoices issued by SCITAS.

Stat boxes (left side)#

Box Description
Cost of storage Estimated storage cost for the account (CHF). Based on the average over the selected period; most accurate for full-month selections.
Cost of computing Estimated cost of all compute jobs run by account members (CHF).
Est. carbon footprint Estimated CO₂-equivalent emissions from the account's compute jobs (kg eCO₂).
Consolidated infrastructure cost Total cost for the compute and storage during the selected period.
Compute capping The account-level spending limit (CHF). Click the edit button on this box to update it (see Editing the Account Capping).

Summary card (right side)#

A detailed breakdown including, compute capping, storage size (TB), CPU hours, GPU hours, number of jobs, cost of computing, carbon footprint, and consolidated infrastructure cost (compute + storage combined).

Compute tab#

A table showing compute usage broken down by member and cluster.

Column Description
Username The EPFL username of the account member
Cluster The HPC cluster where the jobs ran
Jobs Number of jobs submitted
CPU hours Total CPU core-hours consumed
GPU hours Total GPU-hours consumed
Compute unit Internal billing unit for compute
eCO2 (kg) Estimated CO₂-equivalent emissions
Cost (CHF) Estimated compute cost
GPU type Model of GPU used (if applicable)

The footer row shows totals across all members and clusters.

Storage tab#

A table showing the account's storage usage per filesystem.

Column Description
Fileset The storage location identifier
Filesystem The underlying filesystem name
Inodes Average number of inodes used (each file or directory counts as one inode)
Storage [TB] Average size used over the selected period
Costs [CHF] Estimated cost for the period (size × price)
Category Storage type: HPC storage or Archive

Warning

Storage size and cost are based on an average over the selected period. Values are most accurate for full-month periods.

Members tab#

A table listing each member of the account along with their individual compute capping value.

Column Description
Name The member's full name
Capping Value (CHF) The member's current compute capping. If there is no value, the user has no capping
Actions Edit or remove the capping for this member

Editing a Member's Capping#

  1. In the Members tab, find the member whose capping you want to change.
  2. Click Edit capping in the Actions column.
  3. In the dialog that opens, enter the new capping value in CHF.
  4. Click Save. To remove a member's capping entirely, click Delete capping in the Actions column.

Editing the Account Capping#

The account-level capping applies to the account as a whole and is displayed in the Compute capping stat box on the Totals tab.

  1. Click the edit icon on the Compute capping stat box.
  2. In the Edit compute capping dialog, enter the new value in CHF.
  3. Click Save. A confirmation message appears when the change is applied.
  4. Click Cancel to dismiss the dialog without saving.

Exporting Data#

The Compute and Storage tables include export buttons in their toolbars:

  • Copy — copy the table to the clipboard
  • Excel — download as an .xlsx file
  • CSV — download as a comma-separated values file
